About Miss Danielle
owner and teacher
Family lore goes that I sang before I could talk.
I won't dive into whether or not that is possible because it simply feels like it must be true. I've been singing casually since Day 1 (or so) and professionally for 20 years. I have taught music for several years in church and school settings, including basic music theory, music appreciation, and performance preparation. I am a singer and I also play ukulele, cello, and piano.
I created Chickadee Music to help you grow a joyful curiosity for music in your home. I believe:
- everything in our world is musical, from the whir of the baby swing to the crunch of the garbage truck, and
- all music (with appropriate lyrics) is "children's music." In my classes you may hear Bob Marley, The Beatles, or Dave Brubeck!
As for the official stuff: I received a dual B.A. in Vocal Performance and Music History from SUNY Geneseo and a M.M. in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory. I am also the music teacher for ages 1 - K at Christ Church Preschool in Ponte Vedra Beach, a wife, and Mama to an infant and 3-year-old.

Chickadee Music class was the highlight of our Saturday. My daughter and I had a blast singing the songs, dancing and playing instruments. Danielle is very creative and somehow manages to keep a bunch of toddlers engaged for 45 minutes. What to Expect:
- A mix of live and recorded music
- Opportunities for improvisation, free movement, and instruments
- Grown-ups are expected to join in the fun!
- Maximum 15 children per class
- A streaming music playlist and lyrics packet will be shared with each enrolled family.
- You are welcome to bring tools that make your child more comfortable, such as noise-reducing headphones, fidgets, or weighted blankets.

All children are invited to Chickadee Music classes.

Overhead lighting can be mitigated and natural light will be used as much as possible. Classes are held on the ground floor and class material can be enjoyed by people with all kinds of physical abilities.

Best for ages 1-7.
Kindly email danielle@chickadeemusicjax.com if you will be absent so that your spot can be offered to another music-loving family. Refunds for one class will be issued if email is received by noon the day before class (e.g. email by noon on Tuesday if you will be absent on Wednesday). Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations after noon the day before class.
